Thanksgiving Weekend and the Rest of November

We headed to Kansas for Thanksgiving since A big portion of our favorite people live there.  Troy's parents, and both of our married kids.......and lets be honest.....the main reason....those babies :)  Troy was in charge of the turkey as usual, but it was a crazy week at work and he wasn't able to tend to it as well as normal..........lets just say the turkey didn't work out.  It was strange.  Almost like a meat paste in consistency....and smelled odd.......  40lbs of turkey got pitched.  I'm sure there were some happy critters at the dump.  We quickly baked a traditional style one, and while eating it remembered why we started smoking and grilling them.  It wasn't nearly as moist and good, but we were blessed and thankful nonetheless.

Iley was perched up here playing chess all alone........well she was playing with the chess pieces, I'm sure it resembled the actual game ofchess very little.

Iley and Brentley are so cute together.  They get along really well, she dotes on him and he adores her....for now.  Hope it lasts a long time.

Then they fell over cackling.....well I think Brentley knocked them both over.

It was a nice day so all the kids headed down to the farm.  The responsible adults....we don't count Harrison and Sherman in that category......headed down to check on them.

Brentley hopped on with Uncle Harrison, totally trusting........with Uncle Sherman driving........He thought it was grand.

Ash and Ella and Kickapoo Kid were there too.  I think when all these pictures above were taken, they had taken Finn home for a nap.  The next bunch of pictures were the next morning at Ash and El's house. 

Wren and Finn both grudgingly sharing their favorite person....Wren most grudgingly...Finn mostly wanting in on it too.  He likes Wren, but the love is NOT returned.  It's kinda funny.

Isaac's Wedding

These pictures were all taken at or on the weekend of Isaac and Nicoles wedding.  We drove straight there from Colorado for the wedding.  We were greeted by these handsome guys.  Ash had been over at the park trying to keep Finn entertained while Ella did all the flowers.  Thatcher was the best man and they were both helping in the wedding too, so we didn't see much of them.  We were helping with the kids the whole time so didn't even get a picture of the bride and groom!  I just photographed who I was chasing at the moment!  

Dawsyn is the only one of the babies that Wren likes.  She tolerates the others but she would rather not.

This made me laugh cause it reminded me of how everyone in China piles on the tiniest motorized vehicle.

Being the germ freak that I am....NOT......I snapped this picture of them delightedly sharing the remains of a can of root beer they found at the top of the play area.  Then went and confiscated it....amid much protest, they did NOT see the problem.....and dumped it.

Time to take this bunch home to bed!  Nanna and Papaw are pooped!

uh oh.....one's getting away!

Good thing it's a sleepy little western town with almost no traffic at this time of day.

A few people danced....most just stood around talking.

The next morning......my favorite time.......when all the kids come over and hang out and drink coffee and talk.  this is at Ash and Ella's.  Brentley was not feeling good.  I think he ended up throwing up a couple of times.

We were all talking, not paying much attention to the kids........Dawsyn was in the kitchen eating all the icing and goodies out of the cinnamon roll pan.  She pushed this little stool up there and was delightedly helping herself.  Since her mom and dad were there, I decided to just snap pictures :)

hmmm......maybe I can get more with this thing.
