Halloween and Birthdays.

I should probably do 2 separate posts........but that might never happen........so here is another conglomerated one.

First up.......Halloween......they got off the bus this way after their Halloween Party at school.  I can't even imagine getting all those kids into their costumes!!  The teachers deserve a medal of some kind!

Wren instantly saw and decided on her dress.  Iley couldn't make up her mind.  This was the 2nd, one she saw.....liked it.......changed her mind, and picked one Sherman thought was hideous.......so he picks this one out again and shows her, and convinces her that it's a different one, and it's her favorite color..green.....and she buys into it and gets it!  It was hilarious.    It cracks me up how concerned they are with their little sisters outfits!!  They want them to look cute.  Sherman does NOT like Iley's new glasses either.  He is VERY opinionated.

Just because they both had plaid on :)   and they're both so cute :)

Love this little family!  So bummed it's a little blurry :(

Kyndahls Mom is here to visit :)  Had to get one with Gram in the picture too.

Auntie El, and the little man.

I think he's saying....."hey I need a cousin before too long ya know"......."are you listening to me?"

The Birthday Boys.  25 and 23!  Where has the time gone??  Our first babies.........Love em so much!

 Thatcher, quit talking and smile!
Mr. Ike, was here for their birthday lunch.  Fish tacos, fresh salsa, and mexican rice. With a Strawberry cream cheese dessert.

Then for supper we had a bunch of their friends over.  This gang used to hang out at our house until all hours of the morning!!  Lots of laughs.

Now they are grown up.....married.....and have kids of their own.

These two did more laughing than eating!

You know how you always do extra cleaning when you know you are having company over........well we did lots of cleaning this past week, because it was way past time!  Iley asked several times, WHY are we cleaning???  So I told her we wanted the house to be nice and clean cause it looks nicer that way cause we were having company.  The girls were outside when the company arrived, and stayed out with this little blondie playing for a while.  When they came in, I heard Iley say "Come in! It's clean!  AND I made my bed."  Ha hahaahahaha!  I'm sure 3 yr old Candice was properly impressed!

Iley came down yesterday morning and announced " I had a dream"  not Martin Luther type by the way........"I dreamed there was a big elephant, it got out of the fence and tried to eat the people"  with MANY other  details that I am pretty sure got embellished in the telling!  But this is the first time she has remembered and  retold a dream.

Wren is seeming to over hear much more conversation, and saying more words.  Her speech is getting clearer too.  Thank you Lord for  progress.  Please continue to pray for Hearing and understanding for this precious girl.

Make up and Eye patches

Both girls love watching me apply my make up.  Sometimes I have to run them out because I can't even move.  This is Wren's interpretation of applying mascara.  Iley is always a willing accomplice.

And.........they still think it's hilarious when they fall through the door.

Wren has to eye patch again....2hrs every day for 6 weeks.  I was telling Ash how horrible it was to have your eye patched.  He thought he'd try it out for himself.  With a few added embellishments.  He lasted about a 1/2hr. and couldn't take it anymore.  His unpatched eye was hurting, and the patched eye was itching.  He definitely has more sympathy for her now!

I'm not sure why she thought his other eye and mouth needed covered??

Brentley loved standing at the edge of the tub, watching the girls get their hair washed.
I had to keep him clamped between me and the tub so he didn't fall over........all while trying to hit a constantly moving target Wren's head with a cup full of water.

He sat here the whole time the girls were in the tub, just watching them and happily chewing on a plastic spoon.

I'm continually amazed at the girls' progress!  2-1/2 years ago they could barely stay standing up on the tramp.  They couldn't sit down and stand back up again.  Their coordination just wasn't there.  Now Wren is trying to do flips, and Iley can jump up and touch her toes.

This boy doesn't take any chances on you missing his mouth! So funny!

Wren's new glasses.  Poor dear didn't get much choice.  Her little face, while it doesn't look that wide......really is.  These are mens glasses!  The womens styles we tried that were wide enough, were made for big women, and the centers of the glass were just too far apart.  That coupled with the fact that we needed thin earpieces so we can attach her processors, cut our choices down to about 3 pairs :(   Her hair is getting SO long!  It is so THICK and beautiful when it's freshly washed and combed.......but that lasts about 2 hours max.......if she's sitting in church....... then it's a giant tangled mess that involves MUCH wailing, and MANY tears, and looks that would cut you DEAD while trying to comb it.  So most of the time it's up in pony tails or braids.

And Iley's new glasses......she was adamant that these were the ones she wanted!

Sunday afternoon was gorgeous, so we headed out for a walk.

This guy LOVES to be outside!

He started out this way, but wasn't happy, cause he couldn't see anything.

Hey, what's going on back there??  I think I'm missing out on all the action!

Iley did NOT like all the bugs.  They were out in full force.  Grass hoppers, box elder bugs, gnats, mosquitoes..........she was not impressed.  We made her tough it out, but she wasn't thrilled about it.

Some of our gorgeous fall views while walking.

Sheep, down in a valley.

Poor baby, it's a shame nobody loves him. :)

                                                       Everyone ducking under the fence.

Iley was totally lacking confidence that Dad was going to keep that sticky fence up high enough.

The bugs didn't bother this girl at all!  She found a big walking stick (which we all had to duck several times when it was wielded like a bat) and a feather.......she was happy happy happy.
