Welcome Brentley Gene!

It's hard to even express what it feels like to watch your child.....become a father!  That little boy who said...I'm sure it was just yesterday........"I'm gowna mawwy you momma"  Because he couldn't stand the thought that he wouldn't live with us forever.......NOW........He's all grown up with his little family just beginning.   He is going to be such a great Dad.  We got our first glimpse of Brentley Gene, last night.  He arrived in this world at 8:20pm. weighing in at 7lbs. 4oz. and 19" long.  Momma and Baby are both doing great.
Grandpa holding him :)  I think it's safe to say we are all IN LOVE :):)

Kyndahls Mom, Grma Suzy :)

Headed in to see the baby after school today.  This is the first time for the kids to see him.

When we got there, Kyn was feeding the baby so we waited in the hall......some of us VERY impatiently!

Finally!!  We get to see the baby!........and Kyndahl.  Iley was worried about Kyndahl.  She said a while back, trying to clarify I think......"when the baby comes, Kyndahl go bye bye"  We said NOOOO!!!  Kyndahl AND the baby will stay.  But you know, in her world babies came.....and mommies went away :(

The girls were both very interested in all the hospital room stuff, and Kyn's IV.

Uncle Sherman was fascinated with how tiny his little hands were.

Just his little cuteness :)

Iley was SMITTEN!!!  She asked a dozen questions....some a little hard to explain...how did he get out.....  Her main concern was that she couldn't take him home with her.  She said on the way home she didn't like her house.  I said well where do you want to live?  "Kyndahls house"

Wren on the other hand didn't want anything to do with him.  I have no idea why.  She just wasn't interested in him.  We made her take this picture.

Harrison was in love too!  He kept saying "he's so Cuuuuuute!!"

 Uncle Harri :)

 His nose is so tiny..........

Wren was more interested in the daddy than the baby!

Love this picture of Daddy and his little boy. His hands have a ways to grow before they catch up with Daddy's :)

Sniffing his head......does this remind anyone of anyone.

He doesn't have his daddy's dimple in his chin.

The boys had to unwrap his little feet.  They couldn't believe how tiny his toenails were.

Harrison just couldn't keep his hands off.  So cute :)

 "Auntie El"

These two.......we had to pry them out!

Then back home to the normal zoo:)

A Girl's Life

These are just a bunch of random pictures of the girls over the last week.
Setting up house in Mom and Dad's bedroom.

Sherman's hat.

Wren was tip toeing along with her dress held out in front of her........she looked just like one of the step sisters in Cinderella!  She does not miss any detail!

Iley's skinny little feet always allow her toes to slide clear out the end of her shoes.

This was their hair style of choice this morning.  Good thing it was Saturday and we weren't going anywhere:)

Very happily eating the donut holes that someone left in the car.

Wren's teacher has been painting a fingernail each  time she completes one of her center's cooperatively.  She was quite pleased with them.....and her rings.

 The cat......never far away!

Watching for the bus.

I can hardly stand how much they've grown!!!  Don't get me wrong.....I want them to grow.....just not so much so fast.  Can't they stay little for just a bit longer??  Check out the difference between this picture and the next 2.

The first "White Door" picture.  Almost 2 years ago.

Be still my heart!  What adorable babies they were!!

Still adorable........but looking so much older :(

The girls and I had a pleasant day on Saturday.  Troy took the Boys, and their friends Gordon and Caleb to watch a group of Christian bands play.  So it was just the 3 of us all day.  They played dress up, and we ate lunch.......and stayed in our jammies all day.  We watched Robin Hood in the after noon, and Thatcher and Kyndahl, and her mom, Suzy,  brought fish taco's over for supper.  Ash and Ella joined us too.

Sunday was Church and then White Chicken Chili with all our kids, plus Gordon, Caleb, Micah & Carrie. 14 in all.  Then grilled hamburgers for supper.  We lost 5 and added Isaac, so it was only 10 for supper :)

As some of you know Troy has been working in Colorado for a year now.... He is gone from Tuesday-Friday, and is home on Sat, Sun, Mon.  The girls are always so sad to see him head back to work.  Iley about made him cry on Sunday when she said "when I grow up I'm going to have a shop right by my house so Daddy doesn't have to go away to work"  Poor guy's had a rough week anyway, and is always torn between work and family.  He does so good at loving on the kids, and spending time with us all when he's home, but it's hard to be away so much.  He had just heard Steven Curtis Chapman's "Dancing with Cinderella" while he was working in the shop on Friday, and it about made him break down and cry.....just knowing that they are growing up, and he can't spend as much time with them as he'd like....then Iley adds to it with her comment.
We are still praying daily about where we are supposed to be.....Kansas, or CO.  It doesn't seem right to keep on like we are forever......and yet nothing has changed to the point we can do something different.  We would love any prayers on our behalf to clearly see the will of God on this topic.  We need a school district that has the services Wren needs, plus be within commuting distance for Troy........and cheap enough for us to afford.  We know, and Trust God is in the details, and will orchestrate all of it in His timing.  In the meantime, we will continue to "Praise Him in this Storm", and Trust Him for the future.  Hope you all have a Blessed, God centered week!  Thanks for reading.
