A Happy Note

Not a lovely sounding note........but a happy one:)  Here are some still pictures of the girls with their glasses on that they made at school and found yesterday....which inspired them to dance, and sing.....  Wren wanted her picture taken by herself, and kept trying to push Iley out of the picture.  She was "singing" the whole time.

And here's a lovely sample of Wren's singing......which she does quite often.......as crazy as it makes me, I am rejoicing in the slight pitch changes, and differences I am hearing.  Her first sounds were Caw Caw Caw Caw Caw Caw...like a high pitched bird......ALL. DAY. LONG.  THANKFULLY we have moved past that!!!

Ok well not sure the videos are going to work, they are in fast forward!  Anyone have any clue why?  They did this the last time too.

And last....our swimsuit models.....

Seriously!??

I have started patching her left eye again.....I think the right one looks a little off focus with the left(good eye).  I am going to take her back to the ophthalmologist right before school starts....PRAYING that she won't still need glasses!  She has such watery eyes she is forever taking them off, handing them to me to clean, taking them off, laying them down somewhere and forgetting where......taking them off, taking them off, taking them off......ugh...and besides that....they hide those gorgeous eyes:)

Ouch!!! Look at her poor ear!  I really don't understand the fascination with the goggles.  This is how they wear them most of the time.  When they do put them on and dive under.....they have to empty them when they come up!  rather useless!  Does anyone have any good tips on the "right" goggles?  ones that don't leak? ones that will last at least a whole season? Where do you get them.

I wanted to record a few instances with Wren that were encouraging.  I forget so many of the little things.  We were picking up toys and I signed to Wren to "pick up the big brown bear  first and put it on the table"  1st of all....she listened to the WHOLE sentence!! 2nd of all she immediately picked up the bear and put it where it went!!  I told her to go get her white sandals......again she got the right pair.  I can also sign pink shoes, flip flops, blue sandals, boots, or play shoes, and she will get it right.   I signed to her last night that Harrison and Sherman would be home tomorrow.  This morning she signed to me "Harrison, Sherman, come home"  YES!!!    She came in from swimming last night and signed DQ eat.  Yes my dear, we WILL take you to DQ to eat:):)  that deserves rewarding!!! (she tried it again today!...with out the same result:)  When we were walking out of DQ she signed "cry"  she HEARD a baby crying!!  She didn't SEE the baby crying, she heard it and recognized it for what it was!!  She is locating Iley, and "hearing" her more and more.  She had a really good day at school today!!  I am seeing light at the end of what has been a long dark tunnel.  Thank you Lord for this progress!

Fourth of July

Sorry folks, the pictures aren't great or many.  Iley was adamant that she did NOT want to watch the fire works.  All she knew of fire works were the very loud......very NOT pretty bottle rockets and dynamite ones the big brothers shot off at home.  But......When they were done she asked if we could come back tomorrow:)

Carrie joined us since her hubby Micah was still in wheat harvest.

I Don want to watch a fireworks! I Don like a fire works! They too loud.

But if it was a choice between go home and no candy, or watch fire works AND get candy.....candy always wins with this girl.....not that she really had a choice;)

Ahhhhhhhhh!

OOOOHHHHHH!  Priiiiiiitttyyyy!

I thought only BOYS did this!!  Good grief.

Just Because It's been a While

...and not because I have much to say.

The Cricket.....Iley....being her silly self.  She came in wearing Harrisons sock hat, so I told her to stand over by the door so I could take her picture.....but being a cricket.....she can't just stand there.

Iley was getting way too much attention so Wren had to join in.

Which was occasion to break into dance...

 .....and sing.......

 .....ta dah.....

 .......The End.

Moving on to Sunday, I know I take a lot of pictures on Sunday.....the truth is, it's the only day their hair is washed, and they are dressed up:)  So I have to take lots of pictures.  Before you gross out about the hair....they swim every day.  If I wash their hair, they just go out right after lunch and swim....so what's the point.  By the end of the week it's a lovely level of crunchy!   Stand alone kinda do's.
But they clean up pretty cute!

.

And then there are my boys............who are just as cute and as much loved......but MUCH harder to get a picture of.....at least one that they aren't making some weird face with their tongue sticking out!

Iley, loves the camera.  She got in every picture I took of everyone else.  She's in the one above, just below camera focus!  Harrison had just sat her down.

My Dad and Mom came to visit from Ohio for a week..... spoiling me and my kids.  It was a lovely thing to hear the thump of the girls getting out of bed upstairs.......and then silence.  Usually I hear a thump, and then a pitter pat of feet.  For a whole week, they went to Grpa and Grma's room instead of mine:)  Grandma would read books to Iley while Wren looked at books, and then she'd fix them breakfast......and i could sleeeeeeeep:)  ah bliss.  Troy and I even got a whole day AWAY to our selves:)  double bliss!!  Mom helped cook, clean and do laundry, Dad fixed things.....and snuck away with the boys more than a couple times for ice cream at DQ.  Thanks mom and dad!  For your help, and for loving us... We LOVE you!
 Look! Wren snuck in!..........

But not for long!

Hugging Grandpa bye before going to bed.
