Wrens School Birthday Party

Tomorrow Wren turns 6!  But they don't have preschool on Fridays so I took in snacks today.  Most kids would want cupcakes and candy and punch.  But not my little carnivore.  Bring on the protein please.

She was SO happy to be the one allowed to pass out the plates......and toothpicks!!

Iley started out passing out napkins but they realized she was supposed to be passing out the milk today....so....
She was fine with that.  She went around and asked everyone.....what kine you want?  Then when they said white, chocolate, or strawberry......she would say "chocolate? ok"  white? Ok, strawberry? ok."

Oh my goodness what is Wren doing over there??  She is opening the "birthday cake" before she is supposed to!! She was supposed to wait till they got done singing to her......but she kinda missed the cues....

So they had her put the lid back on and wait.

Big sis Kyndahl came along ...to help take pictures.......and just cause she loves her little sisters.....and the feeling is totally mutual!  They love to stay at Kinnels house.....not sure they've added Thatcher yet. LOL.

 Lots of cute little faces:)

Wren and Mrs. Kay, her sign language teacher/interpreter.  We LOVE all of her teachers!!! They are an amazing committed group of ladies!
Iley has really started to open up at school the last couple of weeks.  She's talking more, and participating much more.  She decided today that she needed to be in on all the pictures!

This is Riley....they have ........no kidding........Miley, Riley, and Iley.......all in the same preschool class of 11 kids!  What's the chances???

 Wren and Miley.........

Easy girlfriend!  You're going to strangle the poor lil girl!
I flipped the screen on my camera out to the side and toward them so they could see themselves as soon as I took the picture.  They all loved that;)

This may look like a common scene to most.....but trust me it is kind of an EXCITING one for us!  Wren
especially, but even Iley has not been very interested in books.  They both sat here for the longest time..so sweetly together....and looked at the books!!!  YAY!!  I DO want them to love to read!  Just think of the world that will open to Wren especially, but Iley too.

This was a much coveted game.  You use the pen and push some buttons to change the color as it spins inside...not real sure how it worked, but they were lined up for a turn.

Ok just a few more I promise!

The girls were bailing out of their playhouse over the little wall, then they would run back in slam the door, and do it again????  The boys were cracking up at them, and said come quick with your camera!  I almost missed it:(  but you get the idea.  It must have been really wild, cause the boys were worried Iley was going to bust her stitches.

Snow White?

Mirror mirror on the wall.....who's the fairest one of all?...........Snow White........ahhhhhh...

The dwarfs went off to work and left snow white alone in the house and told her do NOT let anyone in.

But Snow White was BORED....and the little old lady looked harmless.....
But unknown to Snow White....the banana was poisoned........
Snow white took one bite and fell to the floor...........
Ok I totally made all that up....they have never even heard of Snow White .......but they COULD have been playing that:) LOL

Whenever they get tired of playing in their playhouse.....I just turn it a different direction, or put it in a different spot.....or cover it with blankets...or give them m&ms in a cup to eat IN their house.......and I get a few more days worth of entertainment:)

Kyndahl and Thatcher's Grocery Shower

I realized tonight......well maybe not realized, but was made aware again, that not every one has heard of grocery showers.  Most have Bridal showers and Baby showers......tonight was a grocery shower.   Several ladies got together and sent the call out for everyone to come and bless Kyndahl and Thatcher with groceries to start their married pantry.  It's really nice for stocking up on spices, and flour, sugar, cereal, canned goods, etc. things we take for granted in an established household.

This one's for you Ella:)  Just 12 more days till you get to wake up to this face every morning:)

Hopefully not this one!!! Ha Ha!

A cute little face in attendance....little Kinley belongs to Justin and Bethany.

They also had a few gifts to open from the local folks that couldn't make it to Ohio for the wedding.

Some of the generous folks who came and Blessed our kids.....thanks to each of you for making the effort to come, and for your generous gifts!

Wren and Cousin Evie playing like they were surprised at what was under the blanket......?

Maybe because the poor baby was naked??  I don't know why that would be shocking though....every baby...in every house...seems to be laying around without it's clothes.

This little smidge can tool around on her own little feet!  She is such a dink and looks tiny walking around.  So cute.  Olivia belongs to Brian and Betsy.

Swinging on the table rack with their cousins...I'm sure it was the bad influence of the cousins.....MY children would never think of such a thing.....mmm Hmmm. yep.

Look at that innocent face!  He would never dream up something  like that!

Girls Night Out

Not the kind I was wishing for......and truth be told, I tried to go alone.....I would have been just fine with a girl (singular) night out.....but.......I didn't have the heart to tell them they couldn't go.  They LOVE to go to town.  So the 3 of us girls took off for our first solo trip to Hays.  Troy usually goes along.  He watches them while I try to shop.  Our first stop was the mall to look for shoes and sweaters for our next wedding.  I have dresses ordered, and we were successful finding shoes!  I have knee socks too, now all I need is sweaters and they will be set.

We ate a little soul food, and they were Happy Happy Happy:)

The next stop was Goodwill.  We like to dig around through the oddities and junk for hidden treasure.
The biggest treasure we got tonight was some crack up pictures:)

Don't let this sweet moment fool you!

There was a mighty power struggle over "who" was going to hold the umbrella.  Any guesses as to who won?

If you guessed Iley....it was only for her designated "turn".

This girl LOVED the umbrella and very charmingly.... with no words.... manipulated it out of Iley's hands!

Oh all right if mom makes me... I'll let her have it for a couple of pictures.

Then Iley happily moved on to trying on the hats.....yes Aunt Dixie.....I actually allowed her to try them on:)  If you hear we all have cooties......well at least we'll know where they came from!

This hat had a sheep on it....Iley was rather partial to it.....but I talked her out of it.  Sorry but $3.99 for a used hat at Goodwill seems kind of expensive!

Look how benevolent I am holding the umbrella over her this whole time!

This one was a quirky number that made her look like a small elf.  Notice who has moved away to lessen the chance of having to share!

Then they spotted the exercise equipment...it took both of them to get it to move.LOL  They were grunting and working so hard!

Well.....Wren was working, I think Iley was doing the grunting:)

They have these huge bears at Wal-mart right now.  It was bigger than the girls! That's the last picture I had time to take!  They were out of the double seater carts so the girls had to WALK.......they TRY to get out of the cart the entire time they are riding in the 2 seater, and all they did tonight was hang on the edges and beg to get IN tonight!  I am POOPED!.....does anyone else's  head itch?......kidding.
