Happy Birthday Thatcher!

My 2nd Son is 21!  I really don't think   he should be that old!  Seems like yesterday I was holding him looking at his worried little face while his big brother sqeezed him with relish. Or that when Aunt "Ditsie" called him sweetie he said "I'm not  your Fweetie"  She said then what are you?  He said "I'm not your nuffing"  And he was my lovie that said "i'm gonna mawwy you mama"  Now here he is getting married in two months!!! (not to his mama)   Some days I just want my babies back:(  But I'm so proud of the young men they've become.  Happy Birthday Fweetie!  Your mama loves you.......but she's glad you don't still want to marry her:)LOL  You picked a Fweetie for yourself:)

Still growing the beard......but pretty cute anyway:)

This is an example of the norm.  Both girls piled on top.  But see how Iley is totally communicating, and knows exactly what is going on.....and Wren is in her own world.  She misses SO much!:(   She gets bored when there is just talking going on, and so entertains herself.  This hurts my heart.  She has her implants on, but her brain really has no idea what to do with the information yet.  Iley and Thatcher remind me of each other at 5 yrs.  Both were whiny noisy, and charming, and wanted to be lap ornaments.  They totally love each other, it makes Kyndahl so aggravated that Iley likes her...till Thatch shows up.  Then she won't have anything to do with her.

They were doctoring their dolls.  It was so cute....but I'm sure glad I'm not their patient!  They give some mean shots!

The plunger was pumped multiple times on each appendage!

This is a terrible picture but I was cracking up at Iley's use of the stethoscope.  She listened to each side carefully..................
......Then popped the ear peices out and flipped it around her neck like this!LOL  She's seen this done a few times:)  Cracks me up what they pick up and notice.

Wren was much more interested in the blood pressure cuff......she had her pressure checked every two hours...all night.....after surgery.  She knows all about it! (on a side note....HOW do they sit like this?  My legs would pop off like Barbies! I'm sure.)

Some serious hugging in the tub.

They stayed in for almost 2 hours!  I finally had to MAKE them get out! The water was cold  and they were shivering!  Iley is BLUE!  I thought she might cry a couple of times.   I had to blow the hair dryer down her towel to warm her up!

Wren wasn't much better off, but she wasn't about to cry.

This child.......is going to make me crazy!  She's washing the windows......with the dog brush dipped in water.  My windows now look like frosted glass.  Lovely. (not that they were all that clean before....but at least we could see out of them!)

October 31st

I won't name this post Halloween......not because of religious reasons......just because it doesn't really earn that title.  This was about the extent of our costumes.  Harrison did this before school, and when they were ready to go trick or treating, Sherman colored his......and then they both added mustaches......painted on by mom (see  I did help a little with their costumes)  I decided NOT to introduce the girls to trick or treating yet.  They don't need the candy...and don't know they are missing anything yet.  Is that mean?  Or maybe just lazy on my part?

This is before Wrens teacher comes to get her.  She had had her processors on for about 5 minutes here.  When I first put them on.... until she adapts to them.....she always kind of juts out her bottom jaw like this??  I don't know if it's because of the sound....or if she's afraid the processors will fall off?  Or it feels weird?  She did this for several days after her surgery too.
It's not REAL noticable....but if you know her well, she is doing it in most of these pictures.

We are struggling to get Iley to "smile" for pictures.   She tries........

Or just hams it up.  This was after Wren had left for her signing class......I usually wait till Wren leaves to get Iley ready.  It saves sanity....to just get one ready at a time.

I told her turn around so mommy can see your cute kitty shirt....still no smile.
Wrens home!!!!  Iley always goes out to meet her.  She always comes bursting in with a bang!

Mom has been spotted....I'm about to get tackled, so have to snap fast....no time for focus and lighting.  Notice Iley in the background warily letting the dogs past her:)  She still doesn;t love them, but she isn't afraid to be in the same room with them now at least.

This doesn't look at all like a "stand there and smile" picture does it?

Wren was trying to hitch Iley to her stroller.  They were both inside the "reins"  Not sure how this will work out.

 Iley dutifully went marching off........

......but then Wren decided to switch directions on her..........then the string came untied....just as well, things were getting a bit tangled.

Chatting over lunch.  Yes it's hot dogs.....don't judge.  They also had a banana and yogurt...I get points for those don't I??

Growing!

Ok before we get started...check out where their heads come to on "the white door"  Here.  This was taken in late May or early June.  Before glasses.  They have GROWN!  Oh....and Gwen, this is another good reason to use "the white door!"  I can measure growth:)

Ready for school...posing with her artwork.
......and with a little more flare.  I have to snap fast....she will never pose long!

And again.......to compare Iley's growth.

Since sister posed with it......guess who else had to get hers too!

.......and never content with just one pose.....some have to ham it up for the camera.

Checking out her dress options for Kyndahls wedding....I asked her which one she liked best....of course she picked the sparkly one.  But it's really not her choice...it's Kyndahls:)

 Headed in to preshcool.

She informed me she was wearing a "lello" hat.
