Dumpling Delight

A dear friend from Ohio brought Dumplings for the girls from their favorite Chinese restaurant.  Thanks Denise:)  The look of delight, and joyful anticipation while they waited for the dumplings to warm up was so fun to watch.  Sometimes the girls can't be in the same room with out fussing....pinching (Iley pinches), or annoying on purpose.....and other times they get along so well.  They definitely bonded with each other over their dumplings and noodles!  They scooted their chairs as close as possible, and placed their drinks touching, shared the dipping sauce......made this mama heart GLAD!  She also brought lots of Asian dishes from Jungle Jims....thanks for shopping for us Lynette, and Steve!  They also LOVED the little strawberry Koala cookies you sent:)  We all tried them......they are TASTY!  Good pick!

Eating Bacon and eggs for breakfast.....my boys are like NO FAIR!!  You never fixed bacon and eggs for us!.......yeah well....they won't eat cold cereal......yet:)  We are working on that.  yesterday they had ramen noodles for breakfast:(

New aprons for everyone from Aunt Morya!  Thanks!

Just one of Cricket's quirky expressions.
The entertainment crew!  I LOVE these people:) they give me a break:)
Darling Bird cages from Ella:)  They had pictures for the girls of all their family, their names and meanings in Chinese, lip gloss, Hello kitty band aids, glowstick bracelets, stickers, candy, hair accessories.....and more!  They love carrying them around by the hook too. Thanks El

I have no idea what they were doing here, they were walking around under this blanket chortling away.  It LOOKS like those Chinese Dragon things!LOL.  I Love it when they play together like this!

When I got out of the shower I found them like this...both eating what is left of Iley's noodles.  Wren is in Iley's chair and Ilely is on another chair?? They were happy as clams.  So cute:)

New sand!

This picture is blurry, but I love the sheer joy on her face.
Thatcher and Kyndahl are great help, and much loved:)

When Thatcher's phone went off and said DROID.....Iley repeated it in exactly the same tone!  It was FUNNY!  She will try and repeat everything we say.  They are both picking up more signs each day.  We make them sign to us before they get what they are asking for.  We sign it to them, asking is this what you want? and then wait for them to sign it back.  Hopefully they will realize we can understand them when they sign, and quit just fussing for what they want.

Out door fun

Wren especially, LOVES being outside!!  Iley likes it too unless the dogs are out.  She SHREIKS when she sees them!  Which of course makes them curious so they come closer, and jump up on our legs to sniff this strange banshee...which raises the pitch of the out cry, while she tries to sit on your head.  You'd think they were huge monstrous beasts instead of a the little runt dogs they are!   Wren loves to climb and slide and play in the dirt sand box (we are going to have to get new sand!)  We also need to get another Big trycycle, as they both want to ride of course.  or maybe we should just get bikes??

 Smug Gramps

She acts like she knows how to play this and even turns the pages of the music!  They must have had concerts or programs of some kind at the orphanage....or watched it on TV??

13th Birthday!

Harrison turned 13 the day after we got home from China.  I had ordered a cake to be made for him before we left, knowing that I wouldn't be up to making one when I got home. Becoming a teenager deserves some celebration, and we didn't want to forget his special day in all the Homecoming frenzy.  He loved his cake, and hopefully felt special, cause we sure love this boy!  He's such a great kid, and awesome big brother and cousin.

Angry Bird cake, made by Lorene Garber :)

The girls had so much fun playing with their cousins

new slingshot.... he looks kind of like the angry birds..

I spy..... a small smurf.....

First Days Home

The girls are settling in and seem to LOVE the 8 adults to 2 children ratio!  They think....with Grandma and Grandpa living in the backyard.... they have their own personal slaves.  Troy and I are doing all the "dirty" work, like bathing, feeding, dressing, potty duty, discipline, bedtime etc. but everyone else are at the princesses beck and call.  I'm not sure this is a healthy long term arrangement......?????  But other than Grandpa and Grandma...everyone else is the "regular" crew.  So what to do???  Surely the new will wear off and the brothers will tell them to go away?  Right now you'd think we had two new babies in the house.

girls like trucks too I guess

and their own personal jungle gyms......big brothers

Finally Home

We just wanted to let everyone know that we made it safely home. There was an amazing welcoming committee awaiting our arrival in Hays....including a wonderful surprise of Derek, Jennifer, Addy, Avery and Anya Fisher.  Anya has been faithfully praying for the girls for a long time, and it was such a joy to see her be at the airport when we arrived.  Leann Wolf was there with Carina and Carma to document the event with pictures, so I will attach some of those.  Praise God for all of His protection and may He give us the strength and the courage to guide these dear young souls for Him!  Thanks to all for their continued prayers on our behalf, we certainly felt them. Judy will post a much more interesting post sometime tomorrow or Monday.  Love to all!!
